Title Tag

Title is one of most important ranking factor for on-page SEO Keep the title 56 characters. Each page on a website should have a unique title relevant to the content on the page. You can put one or two keywords in the title tag.

Meta Description

 It is basically the summary of a webpage content. Every page on a website should have a unique description, describing the content, article on a webpage. It’s length should be 156 characters. The keyword that you are targeting for a particular page should be included in the in the meta description. And if meta description is not written for a webpage, then in that case Google automatically takes description from the content.

Meta Keywords

It is a list of keywords that you want to target for a particular page. You can include a list of 5-6 keywords in the keywords meta tag.

URL Structure

It has no length limit, but make sure it is short and readable. There are two types of URL’s namely Static URL and Dynamic URL. Dynamic URL is randomly generated URL in form of numbers or alphabets or even special characters and it is difficult to read, understand or remember. So for SEO of website always use static URL’s, as it is easy to read and understand both by humans and search engine’s since it is made of meaningful words.You can use a keyword in your URL also for SEO benefits. If you have too many URL’s in your website then make sure to write them in hierarchical and meaningful order.

There are six type of headers in HTML namely H1, H2, H3, H4, H5 & H6. Give proper heading wherever it is required on a webpage. Use a keyword in the Heading H1 or H2 if required or if it makes sense.


Internal Linking

It is the linking of various webpages within the website. It very important to link various pages of a website for better user experience. A keyword can be used as anchor text for Internal Links.  



It is a text file created to instruct the robots or search engines like Google, Yahoo as to how to crawl and index the webpages on a site. You block or hide certain pages for robots.

You can use this tool to create sitemap XML-Sitemaps . After creating the sitemap, you sent this file to web developer and tell him to upload it in the server. After doing this you have to submit the sitemap.xml to Google Webmaster tools.

It is highlighting of various text in the website content for better exposure and user experience. You can use Bold, Strong and Italic for text formatting.



Create a unique, good quality content for your website and use your targeted content in it. Don’t copy content from other website, create your own content. Low quality copied content can lead to a penalty from Google.

Image Optimization

  1. You have keyword-rich file-names for images
  2. Compress your images and then use it in website
  3. Use alt tag and provide image description for the images.

Out of the many ranking factors one of them is page speed. It is important to optimize websites for page speed, for good user experience, i mean nobody likes to wait for minutes for a website to open up. We can test the speed of website by using  tools like GTmetrix or Google Page speed insights. There are many factors listed below by which we can improve the website speed.
